I’m Roxy Hayde, an experienced London wedding celebrant certified by Humanist’s UK. I create joyful, love, fun-filled personalised ceremonies.

Humanist weddings are non-religious, inclusive celebrations tailored to each individual couple – it’s about celebrating your love story and all the things that make you you.

When my husband and I got married, I didn’t realise a humanist wedding was an option. Although we had the best time, I only wish the ceremony was more about us than the legal aspect. After seeing how joyful and personal a humanist ceremony can be, I was inspired to train as a celebrant to help couples design their own unique and meaningful ceremonies.

I’m also a big believer in love (in all its many forms) and connection. We're hardwired for connection, and being in a meaningful relationship with those around us makes life truly joyful. Outside of working as a wedding celebrant, I'm a facilitator for the Hoffman Process. This is a transformational and intensive personal development week that guides people on a journey to self-love.

Since I started this career, I've written and delivered ceremonies for countless couples. Because no two couples are the same, each is unique and different from any other. They have included all kinds of personalised touches, from group singalongs, symbolic acts like ring-warming and hand-fasting, mid-ceremony quizzes, to shots before walking down the aisle.

I’m a big animal lover, and love including your dogs in ceremonies — it’s lovely to give them a job for the day, whether that’s as ring bearers, guests of honour, walking you down the aisle or giving you away.

Whether you're already brimming with ideas or need some inspiration, we will work together to create something fun, memorable and deeply personal. It's my job to find the perfect blend of elements to create a ceremony that reflects you, your love, your values and aspirations for your future together. In all ceremonies, I use storytelling to paint a picture and ensure something truly special and one-of-a-kind.

London celebrant for unique ceremonies

Having spent two decades living in London, I know many of the best spots for a London wedding ceremony. Whether it’s planning your celebration in a glamorous hotel, heading to iconic landmarks like Kew Gardens or creating an intimate affair in a chapel, park, gallery or hidden photography studio.

After spending half my life in the capital and feeling like a London girl through and through, I'm a Brighton convert and live with my husband and our dogs by the sea these days. You'll typically find me on the beach or hanging out with friends. Many of my weddings take place between London and East Sussex, but I travel across the UK and abroad for ceremonies, too…. including an elopement in Las Vegas, weddings in Ibiza, France and a fabulous Lake Como setting, to name a few, and I've been featured in leading wedding publications.

What can you expect from me as your wedding celebrant?

You can expect lots of joy, passion and positivity. I will make sure your ceremony has a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where people feel at ease. My career in therapeutic group facilitation has given me a grounded presence that shows in each ceremony.

A celebrant wedding is completely different from a registrar or religious ceremony. Because you're creating it from scratch, there are more things to consider. Rather than this being stressful, couples often tell me that planning their ceremony was one of the most enjoyable parts of the wedding process.

Throughout, I'm on hand to support you with vow writing, music suggestions (my career started in the music industry — so I know how to get the party started!), reading choices, incorporating cultural content, and anything else you need guidance on.

I'm often told that my ceremonies are memorable, one-of-a-kind, and tailored for people who want to stand out from the crowd on their big day. I was recently National Winner at The Wedding Industry Awards with the help of all the wonderful couples who voted.
